Unlock the “Batteries Not Included” achievement / trophy guide in Atomfall.

Atomfall is the latest and newest game from the developers of Sniper Elite and Zombie Army, Rebellion. Their latest title is a first-person survival mystery game, where you must figure out what’s going on in the Quarantine Zone in Windscale.

You must unravel the mystery, escape the Quarantine Zone, and try to survive, and there are plenty of excellent ways to do that in the game that will earn you tasty achievements / trophies (if you’re so inclined).

“Batteries Not Included” Achievement / Trophy

The “Batteries Not Included” achievement / trophy tasks you with powering up a deactivated robot. You can do this achievement at the same time as the “Unplugged” and “Any Old Iron” achievements / trophies if you do it in the right order.

To get “Batteries Not Included” you need to put an Atomic Battery into a robot that doesn’t have a battery. Thankfully, all the robots you come across in Atomfall tend to be already activated. So by defeating them in combat, you’ll acquire the battery.

To get the battery, you must do enough damage to a robot as to where it overheats and stops attacking too ‘cool down’. At this point, the battery pops out of the back, leaving it open to be grabbed by your good self. If you haven’t got it yet, this will unlock the “Unplugged” achievement.

Then, simply ‘search’ the deactivated robot, then access you backpack from the menu. You should see your newly acquired Atomic Battery. Place that into the robot again using the correct input (on Xbox it’s clicking left stick). Once you exit the menu, the robot will reactivate and resume attacking you! If you want the “Any Old Iron” you need to then destroy the robots weak spots. On a machine gun robot, its top circuit board, and it’s middle one.

I’d recommend creating a save before doing this.

I did this in Skethermoor in the Protocol camp just outside of the Prison area, there’s a robot patrolling there, but you can do this on any robot you come across in the game.

Check out the video of me doing just that below:
