Unlock the “Any Old Iron” achievement / trophy guide in Atomfall.

Atomfall is the latest and newest game from the developers of Sniper Elite and Zombie Army, Rebellion. Their latest title is a first-person survival mystery game, where you must figure out what’s going on in the Quarantine Zone in Windscale.

You must unravel the mystery, escape the Quarantine Zone, and try to survive, and there are plenty of excellent ways to do that in the game that will earn you tasty achievements / trophies (if you’re so inclined).

“Any Old Iron” Achievement / Trophy

The “Any Old Iron” achievement / trophy tasks you completely destroying a robot. You can do this achievement at the same time as the “Batteries Not Included” and “Unplugged” achievements / trophies if you do it in the right order.

To get “Any Old Iron” you need to shoot the two weak points of an enemy robot. On a machine gun robot, which I’d recommend doing it on, these are on their head and in the centre of its body. I’d recommend getting the robot to overheat, removing its battery and then finishing it off by shooting the weak points.

To get a robot to overheat, you need to deal it damage until it stops attacking. It will then crouch down, with an audio cue telling you it is overheating. Run to the back of the robot, and the Atomic Battery should be protruding out of the top of it. Press and hold X (Xbox) to remove the battery (you need enough space in your backpack).

Then destroy the robots weak spots. On a machine gun robot, the top circuit board looking area, and its middle one.

On doing that, you’ll unlock the achievement / trophy.

I’d recommend creating a save before doing this.
