Good news, zombie hunters. Zombie Army VR has finally been given a release date, and it’s shambling to us soon.
The Zombie Army VR release date has been a mystery for a while. While Rebellion, the developers, have been teasing plenty of the game, we’ve not had a concrete date. But now we do!
Zombie Army VR will release on 22 May 2025 for Meta Quest, PS VR2, and Steam VR. Check out the announcement trailer below:
What to expect in Zombie Army VR
The first foray into VR for the series, Zombie Army VR, takes place before the events of Zombie Army 4: Dead War. You are a Deadhunter, a member of an elite squad tasked with chasing down zombie war criminals. You will take on hordes of zombies in the bombed-out city of Nuremberg, Germany. The stakes are high as you fight to free Europe from the grip of the zombie apocalypse.
You’ll take on the zombie army with “authentic World War II weaponry”, including snipers, submachine guns, and pistols. All of which you can upgrade to improve the stats of the weaponry.

As the developers of the fabled Sniper Elite series, you’ll also get to experience VR X-Ray kill cams, which I’m excited to see. Blowing the testicles off a zombie Nazi officer in virtual reality is not something I thought I’d ever say I was looking forward to.
Zombie Army VR will also support co-op, haptics on compatible devices, ProTube VR on Quest and PCVR, and promises a wide range of accessibility features too.
As I’ve wax lyricalled about before, 2025 is the year of Rebellion, with the release of Sniper Elite: Resistance and Atomfall receiving high praise, I hope they can stick the landing with their third release of the year!
Are you looking forward to Zombie Army VR?
