Unlock the “Orna Mental” achievement / trophy in Atomfall.

Atomfall is the latest and newest game from the developers of Sniper Elite and Zombie Army, Rebellion. Their newest title is something of a first-person survival mystery game, where you must figure out what’s going on in the Quarantine Zone in Windscale.

You must unravel the mystery, escape the Quarantine Zone, and try to survive, and there are plenty of excellent ways to do that in the game that will earn you tasty achievements / trophies (if you’re so inclined).

“Orna Mental” Achievement / Trophy

The “Orna Mental” achievement / trophy tasks you finding and destroying 10 garden gnomes gnomes. This is a pretty simple one that you’ve just got to keep an eye out for the little blighters. They’re blue and red so should be pretty easy to spot in the green / grey / brown environments where they often are.

Turns out, you can unlock this by just exploring Wyndham Village, which you’ll come to as a matter of course through exploring the game. If you’ve played Rebellion’s other release this year, Sniper Elite: Resistance, you may recognise the gnomes if you’ve unlocked the “Lost it’s Way Gnome” achievement. Turns out it’s the same type, SAME UNIVERSE CONFIRMED!!!

Turns out there’s more than 10 to find, I’ve found 12 so far, so this list isn’t comprehensive. It’s enough to net you the achievement though! Just give them a punch, or a whack with a weapon.

Locations

I’ve listed them in the order I found them, not necessarily the best order to find them

Outside the Grendel’s Head pub, next to a barrel against a wall.

2. Top of the church’s tower.

3. Behind the Village Hall, next to a canister and wheelbarrow.

4. On a house’s window sill, towards the water.

5. On a red couch, on the upper left of the map, to the side of the Mereview Hotel.

6. Underneath a bench in a bus stop-type structure.

7. Behind a house, on the upper right of the map.

8. To the right of the map, next to a bridge, overlooking a stream.

9. On the windowsill of a quarantined house in the centre, to the right of the Village Green.

10. Chilling on a bench, outside a house, in the Water Mill area on the far right of the map.

11. In a house in the bottom right of the map, the gnome is chilling on a bench with some cake.

12. In a house in the bottom right of the map, you’ll have to climb over the stone wall to the right side of the house to get around the back to get into the room with the gnome.
