Split Fiction Sells Two Million Copies in a Week

It has been quite a week for Hazelight Studios and the launch of Split Fiction. Split Fiction released only last week and sold one million copies within 24 hours.

Now the title has secured it’s next sales milestone with two million copies sold within a week of launch. Split Fiction sits top of the Xbox Store sales charts in the UK, the US and Canada; top-5 in Steam sales by revenue; and in the top-10 on PlayStation Store.

Taking to X earlier today, Hazelight certainly sounded delighted: “Holy crap, we’re blown away! Simply amazing… Thank you to all of our new and old fans – we love how excited you are for our game!”

Hazelight’s celebratory post on X

It’s a wonderful achievement for Josef Fares and his studio, which feels well deserved based on it’s stellar 91 Metacritic score, the highest of any release of the year so far _ beating out other critical and commercial darlings, Monster Hunter Wilds and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Although we’re only in March it feels that Hazelight may have another The Game Awards GOTY nomination on their hands.
