Palworld developers Pocketpair has announced that cross platform play for the Pokémon-like will launch in late-March. Whilst an official date is still TBC, we finally have a launch window for when you'll be able to play with friends on other platforms.
Taking to X, Communications Director for Pocketpair, Bucky, revealed that the new update will add multiplayer across all platforms as well as world transfer for Pals. There will also be "a few little surprises".

Palworld success
Palworld originally launched on to Steam and Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in early 2024 and instantly became a mega hit. Launching in to Xbox Game Pass springboarded the title towards huge success, securing over 10 million Xbox eco-system players alongside around 15 million sales on Steam in just a month. Pocketpair have added content to Palworld since launch to keep players coming back including new monsters, areas to explore and more.
Palworld followed to PlayStation 5 later in 2024, a mobile launch for Palworld has been confirmed but further details on a launch window remain unknown.
Palworld and Nintendo lawsuit
The launch of Palworld was met with well-documented lawsuits from Pokémon creators, Nintendo for patent infringement to the value of 5 million Japanese Yen - approx. $33,500 USD / $47,410 CAD / £26,000 GBP. Developments of the lawsuit have recently gone quiet.
Alongside today's announcement, Pocketpair have announced a limited time 25% discount on both PlayStation and Steam. The title remains in Xbox Game Pass for both console and PC or can be purchased on via the Xbox Store.
