Steel Seed has an official release date following its original announcement in 2023. Developer Storm in a Teacup and publisher ESDigital Games have announced that Steel Seed will arrive on April 10, 2025! To celebrate, they have also delivered a new trailer to showcase some of the combat and game play. Get ready to stealth, parkour, and get in on the action when you jump into Steel Seed.
Play as protagonist Zoe and her drone companion KOBY in this sci-fi action-adventure journey. In the above trailer Steel Seed shows off a mix of both stealth and action. Both stealth and combat are needed to survive the dangerous landscape Zoe finds herself in. At times, you can fight your way out, but don’t underestimate the importance of hiding in the shadows. Carlo Ivo Alimo Bianchi, CEO & Creative Director of Storm in a Teacup had this to share, “This game is our homage to all the stealth-action players who thrive in the shadows, strategize every move, and embrace the thrill of the challenge. It’s been years in the making, and we can’t wait for you to finally experience it.”
As Zoe, explore industrial landscapes with Koby, your partner in crime (or justice) who despite his mechanical exterior will keep Zoe human. In a post-cataclysmic world, Koby will help keep Zoe grounded and help her through a series of challenges along the way. A drone keeping a human, more human? Interesting. You truly will be in a world where the machines have taken over.
When you are facing the meaning of humanity, it’s not just about survival. Steel Seed promises a compelling story about the human experience revised and edited by Martin Korda. Korda is known for being on the team who won the BAFTA for 2006’s The Movies as well as nominations for his work on FIFA ’17.
