The “Dream Fungi Rotation” achievement is unlocked during the “The Wasteland Courier” side-quest in Avowed.
Avowed, the latest RPG effort from legendary developers Obsidian has been a triumph since its release in February 2025. Receiving great reviews (including from us) and host of ongoing support, it seems everyone is having a great time with the game. Even when there’s been the occasional mission glitch (now patched).
As you would expect from the developers of Fallout: New Vegas, and the excellent South Park RPGs, there’s some cracking humour and side-quests to be discovered, includiung in the games achievements. If you’re an achievement hunter (or even if you’re not) you’re rewarded with that little dopamine hit for being silly on occasion.
“Dream Fungi Rotation” Achievement
To unlock the “Dream Fungi Rotation” achievement you need try Aiko’s drugs with your companions during “The Wasteland Courier” side quest in the third location in the game, Shatterscarp.
You’ll pick up the quest in the town of Thirdborn, you’ll receive it from a shady merchant who wants you to take a “completely legal package” somewhere for him. You’re tasked with finding the meeting point somewhere in Shatterscarp.
Eventually, you’ll reach Aiko, who is not all too well. Despite that, you’ll have a conversation and he’ll eventually give you some illicit substance. As you leave the area, Kai, that cheeky sort, will suggest you test some of the substance to make sure it’s of a good quality. Of course, to get the achievement we need to say yes to that.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t ruin your character or anything like that. You still complete the quest as normal, sampling it doesn’t affect that. However, if you’re worried about your character’s purity / morality, you could create a save before sampling some.
