Since the launch of Starfield Shattered Space, the DLC to Bethesda's space exploration RPG, there has been very little in terms of news. Both Starfield itself and Shattered Space - which we gave a 7.5/10 - received lukewarm responses at launch leaving fans wondering what the future holds for new content and other improvements.
In a response to a fan on X asking about future content for the title, the official Starfield account assured them that "The team has been hard at work, and while we’re not ready to share specific details just yet, we have a lot of exciting things planned for the game this year".

What these developments could be are currently unknown - whether it be new content, further platform releases or general gameplay improvements. If one was to follow the trends set by Microsoft in recent times, PlayStation 5 or Switch 2 launches - perhaps content complete with future DLC - sounds very likely. Bethesda are famous for supporting their franchises for years after launch so it would be surprising if all resource is taken off Starfield to support their next mega release, The Elder Scrolls VI.
A Second DLC
Back in summer 2024 in an interview with MrMattyPlays Todd Howard confirmed that Starfield would receive at least one more expansion after Shattered Space but there's been no word of that so far. Starfield is clearly a title that Microsoft and Bethesda value highly, so it might be Xbox's high-profile annual flagship summer showcase where we hear more.
