Slime Heroes Beginner's Guide

We are here to help you turn that little puddle of slime into the Hero it needs to be to save your home from the corruption consuming it.

Slime Heroes is full of secrets, weapons, challenging puzzle dungeons, magical abilities and hats that can be combined to make your slime your very own.

Where Do I Go Next?

When starting Slime Heroes, you don't have a quest tab or any waypoints to follow. Your only goal is to defeat the 6 Guardians that have been corrupted by an evil entity.

If you ever get stuck, follow the slime

The first step is to start exploring and unlocking the map. Quickly you will notice that the map itself has little images of a slime heading in a certain direction. These littles slimes show you the direct route to the boss. However, if you head straight there you will be met with swift defeat.

You Don’t Have To Lose Your Shards

During your adventures you will be slaying your way through the wilderness collecting shards to help you get stronger. If you die you will lose said shards and will have to go on a pilgrimage to retrieve them. Luckily, Slime Heroes has a neat little trick. When you respawn at the nearest shrine you have the option to collect all lost shards, at the cost of half. So if your corpse is at the bottom of a poison lake or just a pain to get to not all is lost.

Any lost shards can be recovered, at a cost

Unlocking Fast Travel

Quick hint, the shrines can be used as fast travel around the map at no cost. So, make sure you talk to our monkey friend everywhere you go.

The shrines can also be used as fast travel

Don't Forget To Kill

Slime Heroes magic and abilities seemed to be locked behind defeating enemies with certain powers. As you progress you will come across enemies that shoot fireballs at you or bring down meteor showers on your head. Kill enough of these buggers and that power will be yours.

Don’t forget to experiment with different combinations, some of them are game changing

Now the fun part. You have 3 separate slots for abilities. Each slot has a Primary, secondary and elemental slot. You can combine 2 abilities to create your own. having cyclone in  the primary slot and meteor in the second will give you a different result than if you meteor in the primary and cyclone in the secondary. The combinations are almost endless with 18 abilities to mix and match.

Know How To Heal

There is no health potion or press (insert button here) in Slime Heroes. Instead you will have to use combat or a cute hat to feel healthy.

Dont forget to accessorize

Hidden around the map is an assortment of hat that will give your slime different traits. One of them is returning health on successful hits. This one is found very early on. The other way is attaching a life steal modifier to your abilities. The third slot for each ability allows you to add an elemental modifier to it. One of these modifiers is the ability to gain health back from damage caused by this ability. I had mine attached to my meteor cyclone. So when I'm in trouble I cast that and 5 cyclones blast down from the sky damaging everything in its path and instantly restore my health. Just experiment with what works for you.

Adding some life steal is the perfect way to keep ontop of those pesky baddies

Increasing Your Max Health.

You will come across two types of dungeons during your sliming. Battle dungeons are just that, fight 3 waves of increasing difficulty to complete. The other are puzzle dungeons.

You will need the required ability to enter the dungeon

You will need to have the required ability to enter and complete. When you complete a dungeon, you will be rewarded with an ancient tome. When you collect enough of these you can return to the giant mushroom man and turn them in for a juicy new heart.

Unlocking Your Ultimate Power And New Weapons

You will have an ability slot that has nothing to put in it. What on earth will fill this slot? Once you defeat any boss you will be rewarded with a new weapon to help deal with the hordes. This, however, is not the only reward. Once said guardian is defeated you will open a boss dungeon. You will need to enter and defeat the boss again. Upon defeating the boss again you will be rewarded with a special ability attached to a cool down as opposed to your magic.

The ultimate abilities are massive damage or croud control boosts and well worth the trouble to collect

You are now all set to take on invading corruption and become… a Slime Hero!
