With the release of Ubisoft’s next entry in the Assassin’s Creed series arriving in just over two weeks on March 20th, the publisher has released the game’s global launch times. Check out the official map below to see when you will be able to start playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The map also gives details for when certain platforms can pre-load the game, with PC beginning on March 17th and PlayStation 5 on the 18th. Xbox Series players can pre-load the game from today, and because of that we know the the game file is 107.77GB (at least on Xbox), the second largest file size in the series. For context, Assassin’s Creed Mirage was only 35GB.
A final snippet of news is an unfortunate clarification on Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Steam Deck version. “At launch, the game will not be compatible with Steam Deck,” Ubisoft said, “due to the fact it is below our minimum specs for PC.”
We recently learned that the game is estimated to have around 80 hours worth of content for completionists, and information regarding the different performance modes available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The PC specifications for Assassin’s Creed Shadows are detailed here, or watch this trailer. While some fans will be disappointed with the choice to go bigger, like the gargantuan Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, no doubt many others will be happy to have a game they can spend dozens of hours in.
Will you be pre-loading Assassin’s Creed Shadows when it’s available on your platform of choice? Where you planning to play it on Steam Deck? let us know in the comments.
