The Xbox Game Pass announcements for the second half of February seemed a little light when they were announced a couple weeks ago so you knew something was cooking for the ID@Xbox showcase today. Turns out what they were cooking was a 2024 Game Of The Year nominee with Balatro joining the service today.

That’s right one of the best games of 2024 has now joined Xbox Game Pass. The announcement was one of many during today’s ID@Xbox showcase. Also part of the Balatro news was an update for the game featuring decks of cards from various gaming franchise including Assassin’s Creed, Fallout, Bugsnax and more. The “Friends Of Jimbo” update is also available today.

Balatro took the gaming world by storm last year with its addicting deck building game play. So much so that it went on to sell 5 million copies and become nominated for the game awards game of the year. We at Gamer Social Club gave the game a 9/10 in our review calling it “incredibly addictive”.

This is easily one of the biggest additions of late to the Xbox Game Pass service and helps add to the already crazy value of the service. it’s time to join Jimbo and get addicted to poker. Make him proud.
