The first-person driving survival game Pacific Drive has sold more than one million copies, announced today by the publisher Kepler Interactive and the developer Ironwood Studios. The announcement was made on the Pacific Drive official social media accounts.
Since its release Pacific Drive has received several free content updates and purchasable cosmetic packs, but the developers say that the game’s biggest update is on its way!

For those who are unfamiliar with the game, Pacific Drive has the player explore a surreal reimagining of the Pacific North West by foot or by car. Upgrade and maintain your vehicle from resources you find out in the Zone, uncover the mysteries of this locked down environment, and try to escape to safety. Check out our review for more information.
Pacific Drive released on February 22nd, 2024, meaning that the game hit this milestone in just under a year! It debuted on PlayStation 5 and PC (on Steam and the Epic Game Store), and was the debut title for the Indie studio, a team of less than 20 staff. It is a tremendous achievement for any Indie game to reach these sorts of numbers, and great to see studios having success in this tumultuous industry.
While we do not know what is planned with the game’s next update, it would be nice to see the game make its debut on other consoles, like the Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch. Whatever the team at Ironwood Studios have in store for their fans, I’m sure we will see even more gamers get behind the wheel of this impressive and creative Indie game.
