Talk about tapping into nostalgia! Atari’s classic theme park management sim is making its way to modern consoles with a full HD version of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 coming to PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X on March 20th.
The port, which is already available on PC and Nintendo Switch will bring the classic game to the most current consoles for the first time. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 originally released brought some big changes to the series including the now famous CoasterCam. The CoasterCam allowed players to ride their coasters and get a first hand experience of the rides.
It also brought about groups of visitors coming, essentially ushering in an era where families would come to theme parks in games rather than just a bunch of individuals.
Atari has been bringing the classic Roller Coaster series back to life recently on modern consoles. Roller Coaster Tycoon Adventures came to consoles in 2023. And while fans have been clamouring for the original game to be remade and brought to modern machines we definitely won’t complain about the 3rd in the series coming.
As mentioned off the top Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition will launch March 20th on Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
