Unlock the Hawkeye Achievement in Avowed

Looking at the achievement list in Avowed, there’s lots to do and lots to potentially miss as you get immersed in Obsidian’s cracking new RPG. Including a sneaky achievement right at the start of the game – one that will require a new game to pick up if you miss it. That is the Hawkeye achievement.

Hawkeye – A 15G secret achievement for “Found the hidden room in Fort Northreach” is available during the prologue, and we have a quick Avowed guide here so you don’t miss it.

Make your way from the start of the area by breaking the planks and following the path up. You’ll pass the first combat with the Xaurips and round passed the two tripwires on the ground.

Beyond the tripwires is a bridge, and across that bridge is the ladder we’ll be climbing to access Fort Northreach. As you look into the Fort you’ll see a selection on bodies strewn about, jump down and move into the main area.

Looks like a wild night.

Continue into the room with the Adra crystal, but before walking up to it take a right and go through the hole in the wall to a room with a roast chicken on a table.

Ignore the shiny for now!
If you find a chicken you’re in the right place.

Directly facing the table with the chicken, turn right again to see a button on the wall next to what looks like a secret door. It looks like that, because it is a secret door.

Interact with the button and you’ll get the Hawkeye achievement as soon as the door opens! Careful, there’s an enemy immediately behind the door – he’s on very low health but he hits quite hard and can poison you!
