Ultros Launches on Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch

Developed by Hadoque and published by Kepler Interactive, if you’ve followed Gamer Social Club since our inception you’ll know that I am a big fan of Ultros! And followers of the ID@Xbox Twitter account were in for a treat yesterday as they announced psychedelic metroidvania was dropping on Xbox Series X and S.

This tweet was followed up by a retweet from Ultros Game confirming the game was also launching on Nintendo Switch.

I reviewed Ultros last year when it released on PS5 and PC, and I’m weirdly going to quote myself here:

“Ultros is a psychedelic 2D metroidvania, where you play as Ouji, a mysterious woman who has crashed landed on The Sarcophagus. The strong visual style is evident from the get go, as expected from El Huervo (of Hotline Miami fame), with the whole world of The Sarcophagus dripping in bright neons contrasted with twisting black foregrounds and bioluminescent plant life. It’s an absolutely gorgeous game, that immediately draws you in with its eccentric cast of characters, metaphysical writings on the nature of life and stellar soundtrack.”

If that sounds like your jam (it was 100% mine!) and your on Xbox or Nintendo Switch you can pick up Ultros today! Big congratulations to the team for their year celebration and hitting 100000 copies delivered!
