Elden Ring fans rejoice. Nightreign, the weird, unexpected release in the Elden Ring universe by FromSoftware, has received a release date. And, it’s not too far away.
Yep, making the announcement today, it’s been confirmed that Elden Ring Nightreign will launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles on 30 May 2025. I’m surprised it’s so soon, I was fully expecting it to be a winter 2025 release.
The announcement comes hot off the heels of the times for the upcoming Network Test that starts this weekend (if you were lucky enough to get in!).
To celebrate the release date announcement, Bandai Namco have released a new trailer, which you can check out below:
Preorder Trailer – Elden Ring Nightreign
Preorders have also gone live for a Standard edition, Deluxe edition and a Collector’s Edition which includes an impressive looking statue of Wylder, whoever that is.
The Deluxe Edition comes with additional DLC which includes “additional playable characters and bosses”, so you’ll have more beasties to fight when the DLC drops in Q4 2025. Of course, we expect that you’ll be able to buy the DLC separately if you only pick up the Standard Edition. It’d be weird if they didn’t.

Game Director, Junya Ishizaki recently confirmed that the map in Elden Ring Nightreign will sometimes experience “large scale changes to terrain in the form of procedurally appearing volanos or swamps or forests.”. We expect this will keep you on your toes for sure.
I’m pretty excited for this new take on Elden Ring’s world. Nightreign will hopefully be a good time. Are you looking forward to this one?
