ID@Xbox, the Xbox program that helps Indie developers self publish on Windows and Xbox consoles, took to social media to make a big announcement. This comes shortly after the IGN Fan Fest/ID@Xbox crossover was announced last week.
In a post published on the official ID@Xbox Twitter/X account, the team announced, “This is one of the busiest launch weeks ever for ID with 25+ indies games launching on Xbox! Today we start with 2!”
The two games in question are Quilts & Cats of Calico developed by Monster Couch, and Undying developed by Vanimals.

Quilts & Cats of Calico is a cosy and wholesome puzzle game about quilting and cats, and can be played solo or with three friends. Originally released on Steam in March 2024, “Compete with other players in multiplayer mode, play solo, or delve into the story of a quilter sewing their way through the city of cats.”
Mix different colours, fabrics, and styles to score more points, and attract cute cats by meeting their quilting preferences. Picky cats, who would’ve guessed? Quilts & Cats of Calico is available on both Xbox One and Series consoles.
Undying is a zombie survival game where you play as Anling, a mother trying to keep her son Cody alive during a zombie outbreak. Originally released on Steam in December 2023, the game mixes classic horror survival mechanics like crafting with roguelite elements and narrative based decisions that shape the story.
The game also boasts the talents of David Brevik, the “Godfather of Diablo”, who has desgined several dungeons for players to explore out in the “Unsafe Areas”. Developed with a low poly aesthetic paired with a suspensful soundtrack, Undying looks set to emotionally ruin anyone who plays it. It is available on Xbox Series consoles.
So those are the first two games that ID@Xbox has ready to announce this week; you really couldn’t pick two more different games! It speaks to one of the program’s strengths: its wide variety of genres and concepts. Over the years, ID@Xbox has brought many great Indies to the platform, and it doesn’t look like they plan on stopping anytime soon!
