The Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date remake has seemingly leaked via the PlayStation Store and will arrive on August 28 2025.

Metal Gear Solid DELTA (Delta): Snake Eater is a remake of the 2004 PlayStation 2 classic, with the listing reading: "The core experience of the original, evolved and more immersive than ever.
A remake of the 2004 game METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER, with the same gripping story and engrossing world, now with all new graphics and 3D audio that enhance the jungle atmosphere. Get ready for the ultimate survival stealth action experience."
Ape Escape Collab?!?
The PlayStation Store listing also includes a new story heavy trailer showing action-packed sequences rebuilt from the ground up and iconic bosses reimagined. At the end of the trailer, we're teased with a collaboration with Ape Escape.
The Store page describes the additional game mode, Snake vs Monkey, "In this mode, you'll play as Snake, and round up all the escaped apes running amok in each stage!". Â Whilst yet to be confirmed, it is likely this game mode will be PlayStation 5 exclusive given Ape Escape's is a PlayStation franchise. The title is also confirmed for Xbox Series consoles and Steam.

Rumours have circulated on X over the last week regarding a PlayStation State of Play taking place week commencing 10 February, so we may see an imminent official announcement. The South Korean ratings board - well known for their ratings publications being a precursor to official video game announcements - has today also published its rating for Death Stranding 2 On the Beach, another highly anticipated PlayStation 5 2025 launch. Whilst the State of Play remains a rumour for now, there are reasons to believe it will take place.
