There are all sorts of woodland folk who could do with some assistance in Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, with some entirely unrelated to the gruesome events that shape Arlo’s journey of vengeance. One of these side quests involves helping the mysterious Merlin find his set of tarot cards that are scattered across the game. Fortunately, there are only eight to find, and returning them all to the magician unlocks the “Collect All Tarot Cards” trophy/achievement.
With our trusty guide, you shouldn’t have any problem tracking down all eight cards, unlike our magical friend!
The Quest
Starting the “On the Cards” side quest in Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter can happen two ways. The inevitable way is through the game’s main story, when you meet Merlin in the Rift. The other way is by finding one of the tarot cards before meeting the magician; this will trigger the side quest as well.
Farmer Card
The Farmer Card can be bought from the badger brothers you help in The Golden Forest as part of the story quest to find a chef.
Beggar Card
The Beggar Card can be bought from Ernest the heron in The Golden Forest, but only after you have returned his fishing rod to him. Check out our guide for the “Find the Heron’s Fishing Rod” achievement for help with that side quest.
Knight Card
Found in the mud and remains in The Rift. Climb the ladder to the right of the entrance to Merlin’s home, and cross over above to the left.
Use the grapple point in the ceiling to cross the gap where the card is waiting.
Death and Council Card
Both the Death and Council Cards are sold by Maggi at Bogmire Forge in The Rift, but only after you have found her glasses. Check out our guide to unlock the “Find the Magpies Spectacles” achievement for help with this side quest.
King and Blacksmith Cards
Both the King and Blacksmith Cards can be bought from the merchant next to the forge near the docks at Crimson Keep.
Druid Card
The Druid Card can be bought from… you’re not going to believe this. It’s Merlin! The befuddled magician sells you the card in his home in The Rift, then takes it back from you as part of his side quest!
What a scheme, a ruse, a damn con, I tell you! The only thing magic about this knave is that no one has given him a good smack in the snout!
Anyway, with all the tarot cards collected and returned, you have unlocked the “Collect all Tarot Cards” trophy/achievement in Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter!
