The developer of Marvel Snap has confirmed that they have landed a new publishing partner, following the outage that occurred in early January where the game was unplayable in the United States.
Second Dinner, issued a statement, stating that they had "already signed agreements and started the work to bring almost all operational and publishing responsibilities in-house", further citing support from Skystone Games, an indie-games publisher located in the United States. Second Dinner had previously promised to also separate from its current publisher, Nuverse, to avoid further disruptions down the road.
All of this stems from Marvel Snap going offline in the US for over 24 hours and being pulled from app stores due to Nuverse's parent company being ByteDance – the Chinese owner of the popular social media app TikTok. Users of Marvel Snap received a message upon logging in, stating that the game "isn't available right now" as "a law banning Marvel Snap has been enacted in the United States". Following consumer outrage of the sudden outage, Marvel Snap's developers had issued a statement, suggesting that they had been given no warning that an outage may occur due to this legislation.
Unfortunately, MARVEL SNAP is temporarily unavailable in U.S. app stores and is unavailable to play in the U.S.

This outage is a surprise to us and wasn't planned. MARVEL SNAP isn’t going anywhere.
We’re actively working on getting the game up as soon as possible and will…
While TikTok was also banned in the US, following security concerns for how user data is managed, this ban has been temporarily lifted while ByteDance continues to negotiate for a tentative sale of TikTok.
Following the game's return, Second Dinner announced a substantial package of in-game rewards as an apology to their player-base and pledged their goal of finding a new publisher to ensure that "…this never happens again".
