Today was an interesting day with Microsoft releasing its Q2 2025 financials, including of course its gaming branch. And while we didn’t get many specific numbers for Xbox, we did get one interesting one about its latest release, Indiana Jones & The Great Circle during the earnings call.
According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Indiana Jones latest adventure into the gaming realm has amassed 4 million players since releasing in December. The game released to glowing reviews, including our own, as it released on PC, Xbox and Xbox Game Pass. Nadella had this to say about the games success:
“We saw rave reviews of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle which has already been played by more than 4 million people. We also continue to see strong momentum from Xbox Cloud games with a record 140 million hours streamed this quarter.”

The fact that Microsoft are touting this player count would seem to suggest they are happy with how it has been doing so far. Of course with the game coming later this year to PlayStation 5 that number will continue to grow.
Until then we will look ahead to Xbox’s impressive lineup for 2025 with Obsidians Avowed only a couple weeks away. With South Of Midnight, Doom: The Dark Ages and more expected soon after the year is shaping up quite well for the publisher.
