It’s a brand new year, a time for “New Year, New Me” announcements, and it seems PlayStation is getting a new look, well, some of it’s accessories anyhow in the form of the ‘Midnight Black Collection’.
Announced via the PlayStation Blog, Sony have revealed the ‘Midnight Black Collection’ for a range of PlayStation accessories, including the PlayStation Portal remote player, DualSense Edge premium controller, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.
These new additions to the Midnight Black range accompanies the Midnight Black DualSense and PS5 console covers that are already available.

The new additions to the Midnight Black Collection will be available to purchase from 20 February 2025, with preorders opening on 16 January 2025, 10am local time. You’ll be able to preorder from direct.playstation.com, as well as local participating retailers.
Pricing of the accessories seem to be the usual prices:
- PlayStation Portal – 199.99 USD | 219.99 EURO | 199.99 GBP | 34,980 YEN
- Pulse Explore wireless earbuds – 199.99 USD | 219.99 EURO | 199.99 GBP | 34,980 YEN
- Pulse Elite wireless headset – 149.99 USD | 149.99 EURO | 129.99 GBP | 22,980 YEN
- DualSense Edge wireless controller – 199.99 USD | 219.99 EURO | 199.99 GBP | 34,980 YEN – this is an updated price for EURO and GBP and applies to the White version too.
