Happy New Year! Weekly Game Launch is back for 2025, and we’ve got a bumper year ahead for some amazing games for sure. We’re starting off slow this week, with no major releases but some interesting looking titles nevertheless.
7 January – Tap Wizard 2 (Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on Android, iOS, PC
Choose your Spells, Perks, and Traits, then let the Wizard do all of the work in this unique Idle RPG! Tap Wizard 2 is a fusion of the Idle, Incremental, ARPG, and Twin-Stick Shooter genres, resulting in a game like no other!
8 January – Beautiful Sakura: Fashion Club (Xbox One, Xbox Series)
Kaito is at a crossroads, unsure of his future. He stumbles upon photography and becomes intrigued by the art. As he starts experimenting with his camera, Kaito reconnects with old friends, asking them to be his models. Together, they explore new places, and with each photo, Kaito becomes more confident in his newfound passion.

8 January – Railway Islands 2 (Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC, Switch
You take on the role of managing railway lines in charming island settings, now with the added challenge of coordinating up to two trains to safely transport passengers and packages to their destinations. With shared railways, strategic route-building and proper railway switch placement are crucial to prevent collisions!
8 January – Rivenaar’s Grove (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series)
Rivenaar’s Grove is a top-down fantasy adventure spin on sliding puzzles. The quick little apprentice can only move in straight lines from one border of the field to another. It's up to you to figure out how to use these nimble movements to gather crops as quickly and efficiently as possible.
8 January – Sokocrab (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)
SokoCrab is a puzzle game where you control a clever crab tasked with pushing barrels onto spots to unlock the path to the next level. Combining classic puzzle-style mechanics with a charming beach theme, SokoCrab challenges players to think thoroughly and plan their moves carefully to overcome increasingly complex puzzles.

10 January – FlipCat (Xbox One, Xbox Series)
FlipCat is a 2D platformer with a unique perspective rotation mechanic. Explore 30 challenging levels as a curious cat, overcoming obstacles, solving puzzles, and uncovering hidden paths in a pixel art world.

10 January – Freedom Wars Remastered (PC, PS4, PS5, Switch)
Born into a one-million-year prison sentence, you must survive deadly missions to earn any hope of freedom. Die in prison or live on the battlefield. The choice is yours.
10 January – Gravity Escape (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC
Your spaceship was forced to crash-land on an unknown planet after an unidentified attack. During your exploration, you discovered a magical gravity gun. Now, it’s time to escape this strange planet!
10 January – Mineral (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)
In Mineral you control a physics bound energy orb; collecting energy crystals to unlock portals to new levels and these unique realms, each level has its own selection of secrets and collectables to gather to maximise your orb's energy levels.
10 January – Super Onion Boy + (Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC
Super Onion Boy+ offers an exhilarating journey in a 2D platformer filled with action and adventure, in the nostalgic retro style. Your mission is to rescue the princess, who has been imprisoned in a magical bubble by a terrible monster.
11 January – Unsolved Case: The Scarlet Hyacinth Collector’s Edition (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC
Chase down the suspect behind a serial killing! A whole series of crimes happens right before your eyes: a murder in an alley, your boss getting shot, abductions in broad daylight, and so on... Can you deal with it all?
11 January – Windborn: Journey to the South (Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series) – releasing on PS4, PS5 on 14 March 2025.
