Catch A Fish In Venture To The Vile – Go Fish! Trophy Guide

When faced with the threat of complete destruction by an insidious, grotesque corruption, sometimes it’s worth taking a moment to sit back, cast a line, and just listen to the river flowing by. In Venture to the Vile, you don’t do that exactly, but you’ll want to do it at least once if you want to net yourself the Go Fish trophy.

Check out our review of Venture to the Vile here!

There are three different fishing spots in Venture to the Vile: they are in Seasalter Harbour, Reeking Marshes, and the Black Hill Mines. I’ll show you how to reach each one, as you can get a different material from each fishing spot you need to unlock the Resting Fortitude upgrade. But first…

Keep An Eye Out For Fishing Spot Signs

How to Fish

Fishing in Venture to the Vile takes a slightly more direct approach to the sport, choosing to forgo any of the traditional equipment. Once you have unlocked the Nefarious Descent ability which let’s you smash through certain floors and stomp on enemies (earned from beating the Weeping Willows Mausoleum , you’re all set to go! Once you reach one of the three fishing spots, you want to keep an eye on the water and look out for ripples. All you need to do is use Nefarious Descent to come crashing down, killing the unsuspecting fish with the impact. You’ll know it’s worked because the fish’s body will be chucked high into the air before disappearing.

Now that you know how to catch a fish, here’s where to find all three fishing spots!
