French developers Yummy Games has announced its highly anticipated debut console/pc game, third-person shooter Project Tower, will be releasing early next year on January 6th.
Project Tower, which is a PlayStation 5 console exclusive as well as available on Steam, is set in a sci-fi world where humanity's survival is hanging on by a thread. Having been captured by an alien race known as Hiks, you must fight your way through the tower making your way to the top.

The gameplay is focused on bullet hell combat as well as offering a unique ability to the player to morph into its enemies to gain the upper hand. In our preview of the game we found Project Tower to be a joy to play between its 2 main mechanics. If it can maintain what we saw, this is definitely going to be a great game to start the stacked 2025 game lineup.
“We've worked hard to craft an adventure that combines engaging gameplay with a rich story, and we can't wait to see players climb the tower.” says Jordan Caliari, President of Yummy Games.
From everything we've seen and heard the team is constantly putting an emphasis on the story which is typically not seen in a bullet hell game, so this is even more refreshing to me.
In our interview with Yummy Games earlier this year we talked to the team on a variety of topics including why they went the console and pc route, why it's not coming to Xbox and much more.
Project Tower releases for PlayStation 5 and PC on January 6th 2025.
