I previewed Steel Seed back in June when the demo dropped. As a fan of stealth games, I was drawn to this game. I had an absolute blast diving in to the world Storm in a Teacup created. Originally set to drop in 2024, the game has been moved back with a release window of 2025. Steel Seed is a narrative driven, single player, stealth-action adventure game.
In this game you will play as Zoe who is accompanied by her small flying droid, KOBY. You can take control of KOBY to help navigate the terrain ahead. You will need to use Zoe’s parkour skills, KOBY’s ability to open the path ahead, and your stealth ability to progress through this story.
Steel Seed features what is called a S4Vi points that are found around the game. These points are spent at S4Vi Points to heal and fill up their gadgets and ammo. You can also save and fast travel here. S4Vi points are comparable to a Dark Souls Bonfire. Module stations can also be found to help upgrade your health.

Using Koby to scope out the areas ahead, you can strategize your stealth approach using takedowns, environmental explosives, and more. You can even hack enemies and have them fight for you, creating a distraction for you to slip by unnoticed. If caught you will use your sword to enter in to combat where things can become very difficult for you. KOBY can also be used to stun enemies with its shock attack. The game really shines when using all the cool tools they provide you with. KOBY’s usefulness will not cease to surprise you.
At the PC Gaming Show Most Wanted, a new trailer dropped that gives us a closer look in to the game. The Youtube description reads, “This thrilling new trailer teases more story threads and showcases new combat, enemies, and immersive sci-fi locations that protagonist Zoe and her flying drone companion, KOBY, will encounter on their perilous journey to uncover the dark secrets hidden deep within the hostile facility.”
Steel Seed will come to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2025. Play the demo and wishlist on steam HERE!
