If December wasn't already full of Game Pass goodness, on the 12th just in time for the Post Malone's Murder Circus event, we are getting the gift of Crytek's brutally unforgiving PVEVP Extraction Shooter Hunt: Showdown as well as For The King II from IronOak Games, and Published by Curve Games, who also published one of my favorite games of 2021 The Ascent. So, I will definitely be checking those out.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 will be joining @XboxGamePass from 12th December!

All Xbox Series S|X Game Pass subscribers will be able to jump into our latest and greatest event, Post Malone’s Murder Circus! See you under the big top, Hunters. pic.twitter.com/ldP9Mbchpa
Having put many hours into Hunt I can confirm that it's infuriately fun. The haunting setting of the Louisiana Bayous is incredible for Crytek to show off all its glory. Being set in 1896, you are a bounty hunter kitted out with muskets and revolvers. These heavy cumbersome weapons pack some serious firepower but are extremely loud. Your shots can be heard across the whole map, which can alert other players to your location, leading to intense firefights. But be warned all the equipment you bring into the hunt is lost on death.
We’re incredibly excited to announce that For The King II will be available on @XboxGamePass & @XboxGamePassPC from 12th December!

For the King II is a role-playing game that blends tabletop and rogue-like elements. The art style looks super cute, and it has Co-op so grab a mate and go save the realm. This means For The King II will be a day 1 release on the service. It released on PC November 2nd 2023 but this will be its console debut.
