Chains of Freedom Announced

Where will you be when the meteorite strikes and plunges the world into chaos? Are you brave enough to step up and lead an elite squad to victory against the horrors that have emerged? That will be your mission in Chains of Freedom, just announced by developer Nordcurrent at the PC Gaming Show.

Chains of Freedom is a turn-based strategy game set in a fictional Eastern European state. Every step and decision changes your outcome and you’ll want to plan carefully. Not only are you leading a team, you’ll be discovering the conspiracies within the government before they collapse. Can you save the government that is on the brink of destruction? Will you even want to protect your nation after unveiling so many of its secrets?

Chains of Freedom promises a variety of weapons from axes to flamethrowers. Scavenge in this post apocalyptic world to find useful healing kits or cause damage with Molotov cocktails. Can you harness the power of found biocrystals or will you fall prey to your enemies? No matter what you do, keep your wits about you. These missions promise danger, deceit, and moral dilemmas as you explore urban landscapes, military bases, and hidden forest laboratories. Everything checks out here right?

Chains of Freedom will launch on Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series, GOG, Steam, and the Epic Games Store in 2025.
