Quick, get your mates on the dog and bone, grab ya Hidden Ones clobber, me ol’ mucker, we’re off back to London for a shiny update to a nearly decade old game, you won’t believe your mince pies!
That’s right, Ubisoft have just announced that a brand new 60 FPS patch is going to be made available to fan-favourite title in the long running assassination series, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and it won’t cost you any bees and honey.
The patch will is coming for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, with the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PS5 Pro players getting the game in full 4K resolution too. The Xbox Series S version will be 1080p at 60FPS.
Check out the news via the 60 FPS update launch trailer:
Syndicate was seen as something of a return to form following the mixed reception to the French Resistance inspired Assassin’s Creed Unity. Syndicate is set in 19th Century London and follows sibling Assassin twins, Jacob and Evie Frye. The game saw you build up your gang, the Rooks, to try overthrow the Templar take over that has engulfed the English capital.
Syndicate is still up their as one of my favourite Assassin’s Creeds, and I’m very tempted to boot it up to see how looks with the new 60FPS update. I might try it on the PS5 Pro, I seem to recall Syndicate was given away as a PS Plus game in the past.
Will you be revisiting Syndicate with the new update, or diving in for the first time? It gives us something Assassin’s Creed-y to do while we wait for the delayed Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
