The Omnissiah has granted us access to some primary weapon buffs, addressed some bugs (pun definitely intended) and connection issues and allowed us use of a new secondary pistol The Neo-Volkite pistol in the forms of patch 4.5

The Neo-Volkite Pistol is available for the Assault, Vanguard and Bulwark classes. The Pistol is a little different from other weapons in Space Marine 2 as it's a beam weapon. Its got 100 rounds in the magazine and 500 reserves. The longer you hold the beam on an enemy it ramps up the damage leading to a devastating explosion. I have used it against most enemies in the game and it just carves through most of them. The Marines will give you a little trouble on higher difficulties. Be warned this weapon rips through ammo like a plasma sword through flesh.

As a side note the Neo-Volkite is only available in Operations mode while balancing issues are worked out for PVP. It will be added to The Eternal War in the next major update alongside a new Operation.

Balancing Tweaks
Keeping in mind these changes are only for Operations (PVE)
Plasma Incinerator
Slightly reduced amount of heat generated by normal and charged shots for versions:
- Master-Crafted – AlphaÂ
- Salvation of Bakka – AlphaÂ
- Gathalamor Crusade – Alpha
Fixed a bug that would cause several versions not producing heat at all.
Bolt Sniper Rifle
- Fire rate increased from 50 to 60 rounds per minute.Â
- Headshot bonus increased from x2 to x2.5.
Occulus Bolt Carbine
- Scope addedÂ
- Headshot bonus increased from x1 to x1.33Â
Bolt Carbine (SMG)
- Adjusted damage falloff curve: Base damage increased by 50% for the first 10 meters, after that, the damage drops to the original pre-patch value.Â
Auto Bolt Rifle
- Max ammo increased by 1 magazine for each version.Â
GENERAL FIXES
– Fixed a bug causing unlocked DLC cosmetic items to get locked again after a restart.
– Fixed a bug causing the Sniper perk “Targeted Shot” to not work after swapping weapons.
– Fixed a bug causing the Sniper invisibility not getting removed after a shot in rare cases.
– Fixed a bug preventing players from muting the others in PvP.
– Fixed several perks not triggering correctly from enemy kills.
– Fixed a bug that prevented certain weapon perks from triggering correctly when reaching a specific HP threshold.
TECH IMPROVEMENTS
– Crash fixes and general stability improvements.
– Fixed server disconnects with unstable user connection.
– General connectivity improvements.

The update brings the Neo-Volkite Pistol to the armoury! Buffs have also been implemented on several Primary Weapons, along with other general improvements.
