South Of Midnight Documentary & Deep Dive Releasing Next Week

Xbox has been releasing waves of games, info and much more the final few months of 2024 and they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon with Compulsion games set to show off a ton of new content for its upcoming game South Of Midnight.

Compulsion announced earlier today via social media that the studio will be releasing “Weaving Hazel’s Journey: A South of Midnight Documentary” on November 12th. The documentary is set to feature the game “where we explore the vision, art direction, music, gameplay, and talent behind our upcoming action-adventure” according to Compulsion.

Also with the documentary we will get a bunch of interviews with the developers as well as a bit of a deep dive into the gameplay. This seems to also lineup with some content creators potentially putting out previews for the game as some have posting visiting the studio to get hands on with South Of Midnight.

This will mark the first time we’ve seen South Of Midnight since the Xbox Showcase in June. While the game doesn’t have a firm release date, Xbox has scheduled it for a 2025 release. Next week’s documentary will also kick off a very busy couple of weeks for Xbox as the company has both Flight Simulator 2024 and Stalker 2 releasing on November 19th and 20th respectively.

South Of Midnight is Compulsions first game as apart of Xbox Game Studios since being acquired in 2018. It’s previous game, We Happy Few was met with mixed reactions from gamers. While many wern’t fans of its gameplay others, myself included, loved the game and lauded the studio for its creativity and uniqueness.

It appears South Of Midnight will be more of what makes Compulsion such a unique and interesting studio.
