If there’s one thing everyone loves doing in video games, it’s petting animals, and Drova – Forsaken Kin has plenty of animals for you to show some love. In fact, the developers at Just2D like animals so much that they have a trophy/achievement in their game devoted to petting them: ‘Animal Whisperer’. What sounds like the best thing in the world ever can actually be a bit tricky! That’s because you need to pet 16 different but specific animals across Drova – Forsaken Kin. So here’s our guide to help you find all these cute critters, give them the fuss they deserve, and get that trophy/achievement you’ve earned!
Check out our Drova – Forsaken Kin Review and find out why it’s a CRPG worthy of (a lot of) your time!
Animal Whisperer Achievement Guide

Quick notes for this guide: Animals move. I know, what a revelation. What I mean is that if you don’t find the animal exactly where it is in the screenshot, look around the area. Also, follow through on all conversation options you can have with each animal, just in case.
World Map

Forest Primeval Map

1.

The first one is an easy one. Near the beginning is a cat residing at the Woodcutter’s Camp, normally by the graves.
2.

Number two is our first dog who is being a good doggy at the Woodcutter’s Camp as well. (Also be careful, this animal is more exposed to enemies and can be killed!))
3.

Heading West from the Woodcutter’s Camp and taking the path North, you’ll find the second dog at The Pit.
4.

Heading South from the crossroads, follow the road round towards the Remnant’s Camp and you’ll spot cat number two hanging round the ruins on the corner.
5.

Inside the Remnant’s Camp, head to the right and look for the NPC Aidan, this cat is hunting rats nearby.
6.

May have already spotted this dog when you entered the Remnant’s Camp. He’s in the central square, give ’em some scratches!
7.

Another pup can be found in the Remnant’s Camp, over in the communal area for the arena fighters.
8.

Take the road heading South out of the Remnant’s Camp and head towards the Ripper Head Inn. This little beast is hanging round just as you get close to the tavern.
9a.

9b.

Who is the best little piggy in Drova – Forsaken Kin? CAY! This little cutie can be found at the Forest Primeval Camp, but after certain events can be found later living at the Ripper Head Inn.
10.

Who could forget Liesl? You will have come across Liesl when helping the tavern owner Olaf feed his sheep. Liesl also resides at the Ripper Head Inn.
11.

Head West to Nemeton to find our next doggo. This sweetheart is at the back of the market in the North West part of Nemeton.
12.

Head down and before you enter the Nemeton training grounds look round the building above it to find Mikesch. He is either here relaxing waiting to be fed fish, or he can be found just before Nemeton looking for something in the Red Moor. (Mikesch is also at risk of being killed out in the Red Moor, so protect him!)
13.

This moggy can be found round the kilns near the centre of Nemeton. Be quick though, this one doesn’t make it easy!
14.

You may have found Oskar by tracing his tracks back from the scene of his most recent meal, if not you’ll find him chilling in the South Eastern corner of Nemeton.
15.

The last cat can be found North of where Oskar is, hiding amongst the dilapidated buildings to the right of the gate out of Nemeton.
16.

The last dog, and the final animal to pet, can be found working hard on Georg’s farm, just North of Nemeton.
There you have it! That’s all 16 animals in Drova – Forsaken Kin needing some affection, and with the pop of the trophy/achievement, you are now the Animal Whisperer!
