How To Obtain The Most Powerful Spell In Drova – Forsaken Kin

There are some very powerful spells in the world of Drova – Forsaken Kin; from teleporting with Misty Step to breathing a cone of fire with, well, Fire Breath, you’d do well to carry a Magic Missile at least. But as far as what could be considered the most powerful spell in the game, I think that has to go to the mighty and elusive Thunderstorm.

Check out our Drova – Forsaken Kin Review and find out why it’s a CRPG worthy of (a lot of) your time!

Thunderstorm Spell Location Guide

Details of the Thunderstorm spell.

With the developers at Just2D choosing a classless approach to character growth, you are free to mix and match a variety of weapons, armour, abilities and spells while you adventure through Drova – Forsaken Kin. While the first three work much the same way as they do in other CRPGs, magic is handled slightly differently due to narrative and world-related design decisions.

Until a certain point in your journey, spell scrolls are required to cast the spell on the scroll, as well as the focus cost of the spell. Once it’s used, the scroll is gone. They can be bought from vendors and occasionally found in the world. Magic is thus a scarce resource in Drova until you receive a certain item that allows you to memorize spells and cast them the same way you use your abilities.

Details of the Misty Step spell.

With that magic rundown out of the way, read on for our guide to get your hands on the devastating Thunderstorm.

(A quick note: You will need the Misty Step spell in order to reach certain locations for this guide. Make sure you have the spell learned and a base amount of focus that lets you cast the spell without the need to charge more focus.)

Part A:

Red line is the path to the first half of the medallion

1.

Walk down the path from the Remnant’s Camp towards the Ripper Head Inn. You should spot Babsi’s camp just to the right of the road. Cut through her camp and head right across the dry waterbed and hug the rock cliff around the South of the ruins.

Cut through Babsi’s hunting camp and cross the dry waterbed.

2.

Stay close to the cliff, and you should come across an NPC called Harald in his little camp. Keep going, sticking to the wall and follow it up a narrow path by the water.

If you find Harald, you’re on the right path!

3.

The path will come to an end, and over to the river is a cave entrance in the waterfall. Use Misty Step to cross the water and enter the cave.

Use Misty Step to reach the cave.

You will be in a cavern of small islands surrounded by deep water. Get ready for a tough challenge, and maybe save your game! As you move through the cave by using your Misty Step, a trap hurling Magic Missiles towards you will start. Dodge and weave as best you can to the top. Then get ready for round 2 as you head down the right-hand side of the cave.

Dodge, dip, duck, dive, and dodge!

Once you’ve made it all the way round to safety, enter the ruined shrine to Vorago and pick up the first half of the medallion!

The medallion half is as the foot of Vorago’s statue.

Part B:

Red line is the path to the second half of the medallion.

1.

Head out from the South facing entrance of Nemeton and follow the road until you reach the little camp by the road. You need to leave the path and go downwards.

Head South when you reach the small campsite outside Nemeton.

2.

Using the footprints to guide you, keep an eye out to the right. Head up the slope and continue walking down on the elevated ground.

Climb the slope and continue to head down.

There is a hidden drop you need to take, and then keep weaving your way to the South along the cliffs until you see slopes down to a beach on the left.

Drop down and carry on downwards to the little beach.

You’ll need Misty Step here as well, but don’t worry, there’s no traps this time.

Misty Step to the temple of Vorago.

3.

Just like with the first, go inside the shrine to Vorago and take the second half of the medallion to complete it!

Again, the medallion half rests at the foot of the statue.

Part C:

Red line leads to the Temple of Vorago

1.

The final part of this endeavour is only a short trip East of Georgfarm, traversing the shallow waters and dealing with a few frogmen.

Georgfarm is just North of Nemeton.

2.

Be ready when you reach the temple ruins, it is infested with harpies. Mythical monsters with ranged attacks and a nasty lunge to close the distance. Make your way to the Northmost room of the temple to find a much grander statue of Vorago, interact with it. Place both medallion pieces and receive the power of the Thunderstorm spell!

Thunderstorm is yours!

    1. Hi there! The images have been replaced, so there shouldn’t be any issue. Section C is complete, the journey is very short and doesn’t require you to enter anywhere, the ruins are in the open world on the East side of the map. Hope this helps!
