It’s a big week for Alan Wake 2 fans, as the physical release & second DLC drops tomorrow! Alongside the physical release of the game and The Lake House expansion Remedy has also revealed information on the game’s free Anniversary Update, also coming on Tuesday the 22nd of October.

In a blog post on Alanwake.com, Remedy outlined all the changes and new/improved features fan can look forward to in the (free!) update.
First up is some aiming options for players on PC and PS5. PC Players can now invert the X axis (a niche, but highly appreciated feature for those that prefer it) and the PS5 now offers further Dualsense support including gyro aiming and improved haptics.
There’s also a whole host of new gameplay options with the blog listing these:
- Quick turn
- Auto complete QTE
- Button tapping to single tap
- Weapon charging with taps
- Healing items with taps
- Lightshifter with taps
- Player invulnerability
- Player immortality
- One shot kill
- Infinite ammo
- Infinite flashlight batteries
There’s mention of other feature too, so be sure to fire up the game tomorrow, download the update and check them out!

The Lake House was announced in September, and looks to be a much darker tone that the first DLC, Night Springs. It is also included in the Digital Deluxe edition of the game and with the Deluxe and Collector’s edition of the new physical release of the game.
