Well grab my lightsaber and call me Uncle Owen, because we’ve got a brand new Star Wars related remaster coming!
That’s right, not long after the well-received remaster of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter came out earlier this year, but we get another remaster from Star Wars remaster machines, Aspyr.

Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is a remaster of the game of the same name from waaaaaaaay back in the year 2000. The game was a mix of platforming and beat ’em up combat (but with lightsabers, naturally). The story is based on the happenings of The Phantom Menace with your ultimate goal being to free Theed Palace.
The remaster will feature:
- 13 new playable characters
- All secret characters and levels unlocked
- Couch co-op
- Lightsaber colour toggle
- Classic and modern controls
- Cheat codes
- Achievements and trophies
Check out the remaster’s announcement trailer below:
I’m liking all these Star Wars games getting remastered, and a fresh breath of life. I’d love to see a few more get the remaster treatment, I’m sure people will disagree but I really enjoyed the official Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace game, takes me back to when I was a young ‘un. I am aware, that that particular game was added to the PlayStation Plus Classics collection earlier this year, but everyone should have the option to play it again!!

Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles (Remaster) will release on 23 January 2025 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. It has also been announced for the Nintendo Switch, though a ‘coming soon’ banner over the Switch logo implies that the Switch version maybe coming later than 23 January.
Are you excited to see Jedi Power Battles get remastered? Are there any Star Wars title trapped in carbonite that you’d like to see thawing out?
