Red Dead Redemption PC Port Dated

Rockstar announced this morning via Twitter/X that the first game in the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption series is finally coming to PC.

“For the first time in its storied legacy, John Marston’s beloved journey can be experienced on PC in stunning, new detail, with both Red Dead Redemption and its iconic zombie-horror companion story, Undead Nightmare, arriving to PC on October 29,” Rockstar said.

The PC port, which was developed by Double Eleven Studios, along with the Undead Nightmare DLC, will arrive on October 29th and will bring with it a whole host of PC exclusive features including:

  • Native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware
  • Monitor support for both Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9)
  • HDR10 support
  • Full keyboard and mouse functionality
  • NVIDIA DLSS 3.7
  • AMD FSR 3.0
  • NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation

If you’re wondering if your rig can handle this port, the minimum recommended specs for steam can be seen below .

  • OS: Windows 10 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel® Coreâ„¢ i5-4670 / AMD FX-9590
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 / AMD Radeon R7 360
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 12 GB available space
  • Sound Card: Direct X Compatible

Those CPUs only have 4 threads and 4 cores, and the GPUs are about 10 years old, so it will likely run on what you have, although if you want all the supposed features you will need a better rig. Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.
