It appears we can’t even go a weekend now without some disappointing news coming out of the gaming industry as yet another studio appears to be getting hit with layoffs, this time Until Dawn Remake developer Ballistic Moon.
As first spotted by Eurogamer a couple of now former employees have taken to various social media platforms to say they have been laid off. While the number of people affected is unknown and Ballistic Moon has yet to comment on the layoffs, anyone losing their job is unfortunate.
Like many others in this wonderful but turbulent industry, I am sadly being made redundant from my role as a Junior Game Designer at Ballistic Moon,” said Cassy Cornish on their LinkedIn.
“After two ex[c]iting years working on the wonderful Until Dawn 2024 at Ballistic Moon, I am unfortunately being made redundant as a Technical Designer,” added Harry Williams (via ResetEra).
Until Dawn Remake is due out October 4th which makes the timing of these layoffs even more concerning. We hope those affected land on their feet quickly.
