Today Remedy have announced a partnership with publisher Annapurna to help co-finance Control 2 as well as bring both the Control and Alan Wake to the big/small screen.
The deal will see Remedy self publish Control 2 with financial and production help from Annapurna. The deal also helps Remedy maintain full control of their 2 IPs while pushing them into new mediums such as film and television. While Control 2 may still be some time away this will help them build the best experience possible.

Mikael Kasurinen, Remedy's Creative Director & Juha Vainio, Executive Producer on the Control Franchise had this to say about the agreement:
“We’re super excited to get Annapurna on board! Annapurna’s creative values align perfectly with ours, making them an inspiring partner for the journey ahead. We at Remedy have been working on Control 2 for a while already, it’s looking amazing, and we feel Annapurna is the perfect partner to work with as the game development is moving forward towards production and eventually across the finish line.”
Creative Directive for Alan Wake 2 Sam Lake also spoke on the deal and the idea of expanding Alan Wake to other mediums:
"I'm absolutely thrilled by this opportunity to expand the story of Alan Wake and our whole Remedy Connected Universe to mediums beyond games, and to build all of this in close collaboration, games, film, TV, and other mediums as well, as one unified vision. I trust Annapurna are the perfect partner for us to make this dream come true."
Remedy has had its share of partners over the years so it will be quite interesting to see how this new partnership plays out in the years to come.
