Make sure you didn’t miss anything from the Nintendo Direct & Indie World Partner Showcase

The news has been coming through thick and fast over the last couple of days, and that includes Nintendo’s latest Direct and Indie World partner showcase.

So what did Ninty show us, well we knew it wasn’t going to be any news about the Nintendo Switch’s successor, but we got a whole host of great looking games (check the summary images below for an overview).

Balatro: Friends of Jimbo (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Customize your deck with 4 exciting collaborations from the worlds of The Witcher, Vampire Survivors, Dave The Diver & Among Us in the Balatro: Friends of Jimbo free update available today!

Neva (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Neva is an emotionally-charged action adventure from the visionary team behind the critically acclaimed GRIS. Neva chronicles the story of Alba, a young woman bound to a curious wolf cub following a traumatic encounter with dark forces. Together they embark on a perilous journey through a once-beautiful world as it slowly decays around them.

Neva will release on 15 October 2024.

Moth Kubit (Nintendo Switch, PC)

Take on the role of Moth Kubit and investigate the mysterious insect mega-corp, bee-friend co-workers, engage in some verbal showdowns, uncover secrets, and shape the story!

Moth Kubit is aiming to release in Spring 2025.

Coffee Talk Tokyo (Nintendo Switch, PC)

In Coffee Talk Tokyo, players will take on the role of Barista in an all-night coffee shop in the backstreets of Tokyo. In a world where humans and fantastical creatures rub shoulders with each other, listen to their stories of love, loss, joy and sadness, all while serving up delicious drinks designed to not just quench their thirst but warm their hearts.

Coffee Talk Tokyo aims to release in 2025.

Sea of Stars: Throes of the Watchmaker (DLC) (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Journey into a magical miniature clockwork world where a plethora of oddities and wonders await. In the world of Horloge, where a cursed carnival threatens the innocent denizens, Valere and Zale will have play by foreign rules for their powers to manifest.

Sea of Stars: Throes of the Watchmaker DLC is launching in Spring 2025.

PowerWash Simulator: Shrek Special Pack (DLC)(Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Wash away your worries and live happily ever after to the soothing sounds of high-pressure water, carefully ridding nostalgic locations from villainous muck! In this hero’s journey, players will clean up the grime covering five iconic maps from the Shrek Universe, including Shrek’s Swamp, Dragon’s Lair and three other unrevealed locations.

Morsels (Nintendo Switch)

Take on the form of a mouse who uses magic cards to transform into little monsters, battling against wicked felines who dominate the game’s world. Collect and nurture a troop of your own monster friends to overcome cat dominance and bring peace to the land. Morsels features a rotating roster of playable characters you switch between as you play multiple runs in this top-down roguelike game.

Morsels will be release in February 2025.

Date Everything! (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Date Everything! is a sandbox dating simulator set in your own home launching soon for players to enjoy. With the game featuring 100 fully voice-acted datable characters as dateable objects that will open up, have their own stories and potentially become your lovers, friends, or enemies.

Date Everything! will release on 24 October 2024.

Peglin (Nintendo Switch)

The dragons have been popping peglins and stealing all of your gold for as long as you can remember. Enough is enough. It’s time to venture through the woods, conquer the fortress, and delve into the heart of the dragon’s lair to take back what’s yours and teach those dragons a lesson! In Peglin, fight enemies by collecting special orbs and popping pegs to deal damage. Acquire special relics that radically change the game and ensure no two runs are the same.

Peglin released 27 August 2024 as a timed console exclusive for Nintendo Switch.

Wobbly Life (Nintendo Switch)

Enjoy a lively open-world physics-based sandbox game filled with a wide variety of mini-games, toys, and vehicles.

Wobbly Life launches in December 2024.

Pico Park 2 (Nintendo Switch)

Pico Park is back! Check out the reveal trailer for Pico Park 2 for a look at this co-op action puzzle game, where you can play with 2-8 players.

PIco Park 2 released on 27 August as timed console exclusive for Nintendo Switch.

Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX (Nintendo Switch)

Players will jump, battle foes, and seek treasures as they quest to defeat the Order of No Quarter and their vile leader, The Enchantress. This original game is fitted with new features such as online multiplayer, rewind, save states, and more.

Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX is launching in 2025.

Europa (Nintendo Switch, PC)

Players will run, glide, and fly across the landscape, solve mysteries in the ruins of a fallen utopia, and discover the story of the last human alive.

Europa is launching on 11 October with a demo available now.

Cuisineer (Nintenod Switch, PS5, Xbox Series)

Players will take on food-focused action challenges to earn their dinner the hard way. Work with local artisans to customize the kitchen, and tailor the dining hall to the needs of loyal patrons eager to experience the rare recipes they’ve cooked up.

Cuisineer is launching on 28 January 2025.

On Your Tail (Nintendo Switch, PC)

Players will embark on an intriguing seaside getaway in this story-driven 3D life sim of relaxation, investigation, and knowing how to play the cards right.

On Your Tail is launching on 21 November with a demo available now.

Metal Slug Tactics (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

In Metal Slug Tactics, get ready for an intense ride through the best of both worlds: classic arcade action and roguelite tactical thrills.

Metal Slug Tactics is aiming to release in Autumn this year.

The Plucky Squire (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Take part in the magical adventures of Jot and his friends – storybook characters who discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book. When the malevolent Humgrump realizes he’s the villain said book – destined to lose his battle against the forces of good for all eternity – he kicks the heroic Jot out of its pages and changes the story forever.

The Plucky Squire will launch on 17 September.

Pizza Tower (Nintendo Switch) – already available on PC

Peppino Spaghetti, a surprisingly agile and powerful pizza chef, is on a mission to destroy the titular Pizza Tower in order to save his restaurant from annihilation. Follow him through his rampage across the many wacky floors of the tower, collecting toppings and beating up monsters! Featuring highly stylized pixel art inspired by the cartoons from the ’90s, and a highly energetic soundtrack.

Pizza Tower released on 27 August.

Tetris Forever (Nintendo Switch)

In Tetris Forever, an all-new interactive documentary game from the retro specialists at Digital Eclipse, you can play more than 15 different classic Tetris games while exploring the history of the series through over an hour of all-new documentary footage.

Tetris Forever will be launching this year.

It was also announced that the NES version of Tetris will be launching onto Nintendo Switch online this Winter.

Star Overdrive (Nintendo Switch)

Speed into the unknown in Star Overdrive! Battle and explore a vast world where creativity is key to overcoming challenges.

Star Overdrive will launch as a timed exclusive for Nintendo Switch in 2025.

Goat Simulator 3 (Nintendo Switch) – already available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series

Players can step into the hooves of Pilgor the Goat and wreak havoc across the island of San Angora in this sandbox experience unlike any other.

Goat Simulator launched on 27 August with a physical version launching in November.

We got updates on games coming to Nintendo Switch:

  • The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st (Nintendo Switch) will be available in 2025.
  • Season 3 of Star Wars: Hunters (Mobile, Nintendo Switch) kicks off on 26 September.
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Legends of the Zone Trilogy (Nintendo Switch – already available on PS4, Xbox One) will be available in November 2024.
  • Worms Armageddon Anniversary Edition (Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series) arrives on 26 September.
  • New in-game event starts in Disney Dreamlight Valley on 4 September.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Explore Bikini Bottom as a sandbox playground, using various objects to create physics-defying fun. The game features missions from beloved characters like SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, and Plankton, and includes iconic locations such as Glove World, The Dump, and Demolition Derby. Activities range from building Krabby Patties to causing chaos in Mrs. Puff’s rage room!

It launches on 4 October.

Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer (Nintendo Switch)

A new you is just a workout away! Punch, move and aim for your goals in Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer.

Launching on 5 December.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4)

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 has just been announced including 8 fighting games from across Capcom’s history. The games include Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER, Project Justice, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, and Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein all featuring online play and rollback netcode.

It launches in 2025.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4)

Jump into this collection of arcade classics from the fan-favorite Marvel and Capcom crossover games! Dive into an action-packed lineup consisting of seven unique titles, including heavy hitters like X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER, and MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2 New Age of Heroes. The collection also includes the rare beat ’em up game, THE PUNISHER.

Each game in the collection can be played online or co-op!

It launches 12 September this year with a physical version launching 22 November.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Meet the new protagonist and check out the reveal trailer for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land.

It aims to launch in early 2025.

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

The remaster of the games will launch on 6 March 2025.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Players will discover how to customize their party’s vocations and appearances, use different battle strategies to defeat the monsters they’ll encounter, and view exclusive content not seen in the original game.

Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake is launching on 14 November.

Castlevania: Dominus Collection (Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series)

Castlevania Dominus Collection has been announced allowing players to access 3 classic metroidvania games originally released on Nintendo DS are now returning to modern platforms. Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia are all packed with this collection including the very first Castlevania game on the Arcade in a completely reimagined version.

The collection is available now.

Civilization VII (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

In Civilization 7, embark on the epic journey of building an empire to stand the test of time! Your strategic decisions shape the unique cultural lineage of your evolving empire. Rule as one of many legendary leaders from throughout history and steer the course of your story by choosing a new civilization to represent your empire in each Age of human advancement.

Civilization VII launches on 11 February 2025.

Tales of Grace f Remastered (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Players will journey back to the world of Ephinea once again with Asbel and his friends fitted with visual improvements and downloadable content released in the original.

Tales of Graces f Remastered is launching on 17 January 2025.

MySims Cozy Bundle (Nintendo Switch)

Players will make adorable friends and discover creative adventures across retro re-releases of 2 lovable games. Use your imagination to rebuild a town in MySims, and help a cute magical land become an even better place in MySims Kingdom.

MySims Cozy Bundle is launching on 19 November.

Five Night at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 & Security Breach: Ruin (Nintendo Switch)

In Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2, explore locations both familiar and unfamiliar, play minigames, but be warned: the animatronics tend to get a bit quirky at night. In Security Breach: Ruin, players are armed with only a Faz-Wrench, a Roxy-Talky, and this weird bunny mask, it’s up to you to help Cassie find her friend, free him, and safely escape the ruins.

Launches this winter.

  • Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game (Nintendo Switch, PC PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series) launching in 2024.
  • Just Dance 2025 Edition (Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series) launching 15 October.
  • Funko Fusion (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series) launching 13 September for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, and 15 November for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
  • EA Sports FC 25 (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series) launching 20 September.
  • Lego Horizon Adventures (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5) launching this year.

Rune Factory: Gardens of Azuma (Nintendo Switch, PC)

In Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, players will assume the role of an Earth Dancer destined to return hope-and life-to the once-thriving land. Choose from one of two protagonists whose fates are closely tied together, and experience reimagined and expanded Rune Factory gameplay.

As Earth Dancer, players will farm with grace, restore and build entire villages, and fight with new weapons like the Bow and Talisman. Azuma is a vast world to explore with majestic villages to uncover, each taking inspiration from Japanese culture and each with a seasonal theme.

Rune Factory: Gardens of Azuma will release in Spring 2025.

Yakuza Kiwami (Nintendo Switch) – already available on PC, PS4, Xbox One

As we mentioned earlier, the Yakuza series is coming to Nintendo Switch for the first time on October 24 with Yakuza Kiwami! Take the fall for a murder and emerge from prison 10 years later to yakuza clans on the brink of a war that hurtles you on an intense journey of love, humanity, and betrayal, fueled by your fists and unyielding resolve, set against a bustling red-light district in modern day Japan.

Yakuza Kiwami releases on 24 October this year.
