Games, games everywhere, and not a gig spare on my hard drive to play…Ok, yes I could delete some games (and I may well) but the ol’ backlog ain’t getting much of a rest. Has there ever been a week where no games release?

13 August – Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery is a cozy hidden object game that has you searching for hidden objects in hand-drawn, interactive landscapes. Ignite your imagination, unleash your inner artist with the editor and share your masterpieces with the world!

13 August – Level Zero Extraction (PC)

Level Zero unleashes a new breed of asymmetrical sci-fi horror action as you either cling to humanity’s light, or embrace absolute darkness as an alien monster.

13 August – Leximan (PC)

Do you like silly hats? Were you that one kid in class who broke reality? Are you eating nutritional slime right now? Embark on a brilliant adventure, using words and incompetence to solve bizarre problems. There are also hat goblins.

13 August – Mad Devils: Damned-finitive Edition (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Mad Devils is a co-op, retro arcade shooter set in a twisted WWII setting. What does an Allied special forces squad who hunt Nazi occultist do when betrayed, killed and resurrected as demons? Their job.

13 August – Pizza Bar Tycoon (Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on Nintendo Switch

Look out! This pizzeria will soon become the talk of the town! Well… at least that’s the plan. Your customers are already queuing up, so you’ll have to serve them as quickly as possible. However, that’s easier said than done! Everyone’s in a hurry and you’ll have to prepare each order correctly, or else your customers are going to get crossed!

14 August – Cat’s Request (Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC

The fantastic detective story about an extraterrestrial cat named Ash and his virtual assistant, living in a metropolis governed by artificial intelligence. One day, their peaceful existence is disrupted by the sudden appearance of a computer virus that threatens all sentient programs. Ash takes on the role of a detective to unravel the mystery of this virus.

The final game in Telltale's Sam & Max trilogy, beautifully remastered! 15 August – Kena: Bridge of Spirits (Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC, PS4, PS5

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a story-driven action adventure set in a charming world rich with exploration and fast-paced combat. Players find and grow a team of tiny spirit companions called the Rot, enhancing their abilities and creating new ways to manipulate the environment.

15 August – Oddada (PC)

Oddada is a music-making roguelike game developed by Sven Ahlgrimm and Mathilde Hoffmann. Players will experiment with music machines and modify each one to a desired sound. Progression through the game will offer players more instruments, levels, machines, and more.

15 August – Overboss (Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Build the most powerful and dangerous land in all of Arcadia! Stake forests, swamps, graveyards, and volcanoes, recruit monsters and create the best combinations to collect the most points to become the Overboss. 16 August – EA Sports Madden NFL 25 (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Mike thought his dead-end job at the local video rental place would be easy, until a serial killer starts carving up his fellow clerks! Deal with irate customers, horrible bosses, and keep your store clean (well, as clean as it can be.) Don't worry about the occasional creepy phone call or that person watching you through the front window, it's all part of the job.

16 August – SunnySide (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC

Find harmony in the Japanese countryside as you help Sparky uncover lost memories in this modern take on the farming and life simulator. Build a thriving homestead, cultivate new relationships, and chase your own happiness in SunnySide.

You are a space mining apprentice with a bright future ahead. However, your superior Commander Neek would rather watch a movie than teach you anything. Can you collect crystals and survive on your own?

16 August – Unleaving (Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC

When everything seems hopeless a child is awakened by the whispers of the last leaf, drawn into an imaginary world. Unleaving invites the player into a narrative-driven puzzle platformer where each challenge unfolds within a hand-painted landscape, exploring perception and meaning.

And that’s that! Kena is the highlight for me this week, although I’ve already got the platinum on PlayStation, I am incredibly tempted to go back and 100% it again, was super fun! What will you be picking up this week (if anything)?
