Thanks in large part to the Dead By Daylight franchise we've seen a lot of iconic horror characters cross over into gaming, and now one of the most iconic is getting 2 stand alone games with Halloween.
As first reported by IGN, the Halloween franchise is getting a proper game crossover. While details are scarce we know that both of them will be developed by the Evil Dead developer Boss Team Games. One is already in early development and will be in Unreal Engine 5.
According to the announcement, both games will allow players to "relive moments from the film and play as classic characters from one of the most iconic and important horror films of all time."

Perhaps the most intriguing part of the news is that Halloween creator John Carpenter himself will be "intimately involved" in the makings of the game. “As a huge gamer myself, I'm thrilled to help bring Michael Myers to life again in this game, and my hope is to scare you silly,” said Carpenter
Steve Harris, CEO of Boss Team games added "Everyone at Boss Team Games are huge fans of horror and Halloween obviously holds a special place in the hearts of all horror fans. Getting to work with iconic characters like Michael Myers and build on John Carpenter's original vision is literally a dream come true. Everyone at Boss Team is thrilled and honored to be working with Malek Akkad and John Carpenter to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience that fans of the movie and video games will love."
This news is sure to delight horror fans and fans of the movies and it will be interesting to see what the team at Boss Team Games can cook up alongside John Carpenter.
