Easy Achievements / Trophy Games: Week of July 29th – August 4th

Several easy Achievement/Trophy games released this week that heavily favors the shooter drama. We have an oldie port with Aero the Acro-Bat and several SHMUPs on the menu.

Aero the Acro-Bat (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5)

Estimated Completion Time: 2-3 Hours
Publisher: Ratalaika Games
Developers: Shinyuden, Sunsoft
Release Date: August 2nd, 2024
Xbox Store Links: Xbox
Playstation Store Links: PS4/PS5

Just the one achievement list available on Xbox. PS4/PS5 stack on PlayStation along with cross-buy.

Aero the Acro-Bat is a port of a 1993 SNES/Sega Genesis game. You play as the Aero the Acro-Bat, the star of the circus, on a crusade to save your girlfriend Aeriel from the evil industrialist Edgar.

As with Ratalaika’s other ports this game features accessibility options to make your life easier. You can play with invincibility, unlimited stars, unlimited jump and have the ability to rewind your gameplay if needed. For the full completion you will need to clear all 4 worlds in the game along with each world’s bonus area. The game does allow you to save so I would suggest saving on each level in case you miss something to make it easy to go back. Following a guide will likely make this a quicker completion.

Cilla (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5)

Estimated Completion Time: 1-3 Hours
Publisher: Stamina Zero
Developers: Stamina Zero
Release Date: August 2nd, 2024
Xbox Store Links: Xbox
Playstation Store Links: PS4/PS5

On achievement list available on Xbox. A stack is available on PlayStation between the PS4 & PS5 versions along with cross-buy.

Cilla is a 2D side scrolling aerial shooter. You take control of Cilla, a super soldier, tasked with taking out the alien invasion in a future universe.

You will get most of the achievement and trophies in this game as you naturally play through the 10 levels. Make sure to keep shooting and try for a 3 star rating on the first level. Depending on skill you could get through this game in around an hour.

Sugar Tanks 2 (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4)

Estimated Completion Time: 1-2 Hours
Publisher: EpiXR Games
Developers: EpiXR Games
Release Date: August 2nd, 2024
Xbox Store Links: Xbox
Playstation Store Links: PS4

One achievement list on Xbox. Only one platinum available on PlayStation on the PS4.

Sugar Tanks 2 is a pretty simple tank shooter game. After the first level you can head to the shop and if you have a keyboard you can use a cheat for unlimited money. Simply plug in a keyboard and hit the letters G and O (GO) at the same time. You’ll be able to buy the best tank and just race to the end of most levels. Some levels do feature bosses that you need to defeat before you can move on. I did find this game to be glitchy. The game would freeze and I would have to restart the game. Overall it is a pretty simple completion.

SHMUP Mania (Windows)

Estimated Completion Time: 1 hour
Publisher: DERIK DF
Developers: DERIK DF
Release Date: August 2nd, 2024
Windows Store Link: Windows

There’s a new version out of SHMUP Mania this week with the Windows version. You can now get an achievement stack along with the Xbox version that previously released on December 22, 2023. If you haven’t played the Xbox version yet there’s now an Xbox/Windows bundle available for purchase.

SHMUP Mania is a top down shooter. You’ll need to complete all 30 levels for the full completion. This is a great game for a turbo controller. I would expect some title updates for this game to add more Gamerscore.
