When a studio or publisher announces 2 million players it's a big deal. When it's an indie developer announcing it it's an even bigger deal. So when a studio announces 2 million players for a franchise built by 1 guy, well that's cause for a huge celebration.

Today solo developer Tomas Sala along with publisher Wired Productions have announced that the Falconeer Chronicles franchise has amassed over 2 million players in its lifetime. The Falconeer Chronicles so far includes two game, The Falconeer and the recently released Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles.
Part of the announcement also broke down exactly where those 2 million were playing. While no specific platforms were broken down the numbers fall together as such:
- 827,656 Console Players
- 645,262 PC Players
- 550,000 Cloud Players
I spoke to Tomas briefly just for clarification on this and the cloud numbers include "Xcloud, stadia, luna, and utomik"

The Falconeer, an aerial-combat game where you fly giant falcons, was a launch title with the Xbox Series S/X back in November 2020 and was for a time console exclusive on Xbox along with PC. It later launched on PlayStation 4/5 and the Nintendo Switch. It was also day 1 in Xbox Game Pass.
Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is a much different experience. Launching January 30th of this year for PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X. Bulwark is a city builder with strategy elements, a far cry from the original game. It is currently one of the highest rated indie games of the year from both fans and critics.

In a day and age when there is so much bad news in the industry it is great to be able to announce a good news story for such a great developer. And for those who may have missed it, a third game in the series has already been announced, though don't expect it anytime soon.
