Have you ever been hanging out with your friends and thought “you know I’d really like to play the original Halo on my gameboy color. Well your dream has come true, part of it anyway.

Sofaswordsman on inch.io has “demade” the first 2 Halo levels in the original game and made them playable on a Nintendo Gameboy. You can either play them through a web browser or download the files to play on your own device. A YouTube play through can be found below.

While this is only the first two levels so far the developer has plans to continue to make more levels with the goal of eventually having the entirely of Halo Combat Evolved playable.
