Following on from the success of Splitgate in 2022, 1047 Games have just dropped the annoument trailer for Splitgate 2 on Twitter. The game will be launching across Steam, Epic Games Store, PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
Splitgate is a F2P multiplayer FPS with Halo-inspired combat, where you can use portals to hop around, shoot through and generally cause chaos. The first game is a cult hit, but stopped after season one so that the devs could focus making the sequel in Unreal Engine 5. The website confirms that Splitgate 2 will also be free to play, with a 4×4 team set up. Despite some comments on the announcement tweet suggesting it might be, the team have confirmed it is not a hero shooter.
