The new on line multiplayer game once human has drawn a fair share of criticism from some people writing reviews on steam taking it to the status of “mixed”. Some seem well founded complaining about performance issues and missing features. Others are taking a more interesting flavor.

Among the complaints are people complaining about the terms of service, calling it “spyware”. The concerns about there terms of service seem to be rooted in the fact that in there terms of service they list things like Government issued ID as data they can collect.

This has drawn the attention of former Bizzard Developer Jason Hall(some know him as Pirate Software on Youtube)who had this to say on his twitter

On the subject of government ID which seems to be what’s drawing the most attention he had this to say

“In some countries government issued ID’s are required for live service game access. If you are not in one of these countries you obviously are not asked or required to present those documents.”

For what it’s worth a quick search on Google will back up the claim that some governments such as China do require Government ID to play live service games so it only makes sense that if needed they could require this in order to host the game there. What are your thoughts? Comment below
