Lost Records Bloom & Rage Delayed To Avoid Life Is Strange

In a bit of an awkward moment today, developer Dontnod announced via X that it is delaying its upcoming game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage into 2025 to avoid the latest instalment into the Life Is Strange franchise.

Now you might be wondering what about that is awkward? Coincidentally the Life Is Strange series was actually created by Dontnod almost a decade ago. The franchise has become quite popular but Dontnod wanted to move on to other projects such as Lost Records, this Square Enix tasked Deck Nine with the latest game.

Lost Records and Life Is Strange are similar games in the sense that both are very story driven adventure games. Dontnod says “We know you’re all excited for both Lost Records and the new Life is Strange game, and we wanted to ensure both have adequate space to shine. The wait will be worth it!”

Ultimately it’s likely the right move and giving Lost Record more time for more polish certainly won’t hurt.
