Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive debuted a new trailer for the hotly anticipated Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 today along with some new details about what to expect post launch.
The trailer, which was narrated by creative director Oliver Hollis-Leick features 6 minutes of new gameplay for Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 and details much more of the story. The story will take place 100 years after Space Marine as you play as legendary Ultramarine Lieutenant Demetrian Titus and fight the endless Tyranid swarms to defend the Imperium. The game can be played solo or with up to 2 friends as Titus’ battle-brothers Chairon and Gadriel in seamless drop-in/drop-out co-op.
More Missions, Enemies and Weapons Coming in Free Updates
Following the game’s launch on September 9, Space Marine 2 will add new “Operations” missions, PvP maps, enemies and weapons to fight them with through a series of free updates. Additional cosmetics and Chapter heraldry will release as part of the Season Pass. For anyone worried about microtransactions they have said there will be no such thing in the game.
As mentioned above the game is launching September 9th for Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5 and PC, however if you choose to pre order the gold or ultimate edition you will get 4 days early access.
