Xbox looks set to follow up their excellent Xbox Games Showcase with another big presence at this years Gamescom.
Xbox today confirmed that they will have their largest booth ever for Gamescom with an impressive lineup of games and likely a few surprises as well. The confirmed games are:
- Age Of Mythology: Retold
- Ara: History Untold
- Avowed
- Diablo IV: Vessel Of Hatred
- Diablo Immortals
- The Elder Scrolls Online
- Fallout 76
- Towerborne
- World Of Warcraft: The War Within

Of note here are Ara History: Untold and Towerborne which were absent from the Xbox Showcase but will make an appearance at Gamescom. Curiously two glaring omissions from the booth are likely the two biggest games Xbox has this year in Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 and Indiana Jones. You would think Xbox would be including Call Of Duty with everything as they'd want fans to know it is theirs.
PlayStation & Nintendo Missing In Action
As Xbox goes bigger than ever at Gamescom, the other two platform holders will be absent this year. PlayStation hasn't been to the show in years despite Europe being one of their strongest markets so that is not much of a surprise. Nintendo on the other hand skipping it is.
While Nintendo's focus is likely on 2025 and the Nintendo Switch 2, they do still have quite a few games coming the rest of the year so they likely could have had a presence at the show. It's not like Zelda and Mario are small IP's.

It should also be stated that while neither company has any plans for a booth or any kind of show it is still possible one or more of their games show up in some capacity as part of a larger showcase.
Gamescom is set to take place from August 21st-25th. Will you be attending the show? What surprises are you hoping to see? Let us know in the comments below.
